125th Anniversary of Perth Mint 2024 Copper-Aluminium, 13,5gr (card)

Perth Mint is one of the largest and most reputable mints in the world, established in the 19th century.

The Perth Mint was founded in 1899 as a branch of the British Royal Mint to process gold mined during the gold rush that took place in Western Australia at the time. Today, the Perth Mint continues its operations, refining gold and producing a wide range of bullion and commemorative coins. It is known for producing high-quality gold, silver and platinum products that are very popular with investors and collectors. Some of its best-known coin series include the Australian Kangaroo, Koala, Kookaburra and the third edition of the Lunar series.

The reverse of the coin features three animals intrinsically linked to Australia's natural environment, representing the mint's most popular series. They are, in turn, the koala, kangaroo and kookaburra, each of which can be found on the most popular series of currency. At the bottom of the coin, the years of the Perth Mint's existence are shown on the ribbon, and we can also find a small P125 symbol referring to this anniversary. The obverse shows us a profile of King Charles III along with the denomination of 1 AUD.
