The coin is another issue of the interesting The Lost Tigers of Cambodia series of bullion coins. The product was distinguished by the fact that it was created as the first bullion coin to be official legal tender in Cambodia. The Lost Tigers of Cambodia takes its inspiration from the Chinese lunar calendar, in which the tiger represents the third consecutive year of the so-called Year of the Tiger. Cambodia is one of the natural habitats of the Indochinese tiger, considered the largest of all tigers living on earth.

The reverse of the presented coin is decorated with an image of an Indochinese tiger with its mouth open, emerging from the dense vegetation typical of Cambodia. Next to the animal is engraved the inscription "LOST TIGERS OF CAMBODIA," while the lower part of the obverse bears information on weight and silver sample. The obverse of the coin depicts the Angkor Wat temple in Cambodia, considered the largest religious monument in the world. Next to the temple, one will find information on the date of issue and the denomination of 3,000 riel.
