Silver circulation coins are an interesting alternative to the popular bullion coins.

Among Polish coins of the interwar period, the silver five-zloty coin with the image of a woman wearing a wreath of grain ears holds a special place. Minted in 1932-1934, it went down in the history of numismatics as one of the most beautiful and symbolic coins of the Second Republic. The coin was struck from sterling silver, weighing 11 grams and 28 mm in diameter. Despite its relatively short period of issue, it was widely used in circulation, making its preservation in very good condition a challenge for collectors today. Mint condition (UNC) versions currently fetch high prices on the numismatic market. The 1932-1934 silver "Head of a Woman" is not only a numismatic curiosity, but also an artistic expression of the spirit of the era - combining patriotism, aesthetics and a reference to the Polish countryside as the foundation of national identity. For many collectors, it is a must-have item in a collection of coins of the Second Republic.

The reverse of the coin depicts the profile of a young woman in folk style, with her head decorated with ears of rye, which was meant to symbolize fertility, fertility and attachment to rural traditions. The design by the famous sculptor and medalist Antoni Madeyski is characterized by a subtle, even poetic aesthetic. The obverse shows the crowned eagle - the national emblem of the Second Republic - together with the otolithic inscription "RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA" and the denomination and date of issue.
