The Australian Kookaburra is another coin from Perth referring to Australia's natural wealth.

Issued in 2016, the silver coin is the 26th installment in the hugely popular series from Perth Mint - the Australian Kookaburra. The kookaburra, is an Australian endemic variety of kingfisher. By human account, it is also found in Tasmania, while it is not found in New Guinea, as suggested by its species name - Dacelo novaeguineae.

The reverse of this edition shows a kukabura sitting on a wooden fence stake wrapped with barbed wire. In the background can be seen the typical desert landscape of Australia. The upper part of the coin features the inscription Australian Kookaburra while the lower part contains the date of issue, weight and silver sample. As every year, the obverse remains the same, depicting the profile of Queen Elzbieta II along with the denomination information.
