Legendary Warriors: Joan of Arc, 1 oz Silver Round

Legendary Warriors is an interesting series of silver investment medals.

Joan of Arc, also known as the Virgin of Orléans, was a French national heroine and saint of the Catholic Church who played a key role during the Hundred Years' War between France and England. Born in 1412 in Domrémy, she experienced visions at a young age that convinced her that she had a mission from God. In 1429, she led French troops to victory, unblocking the siege of Orléans and making possible the coronation of Charles VII. Captured by the Burgundians and handed over to the English, she was sentenced to death for heresy and burned at the stake in 1431. Rehabilitated posthumously, she was canonized in 1920, becoming a symbol of courage and patriotism.

The reverse of the silver investment medal shows us a silhouette of Joan of Arc clad in armor and holding a sword in her hand. In the background we can see fragments of the city's buildings along with a magnificent castle with pointed turrets. The upper part of the reverse is engraved with the inscription "JOAN OF ARC". On the reverse of the coin we find various weapons used in battle by warriors, as well as information on the bullion sample and weight.
