Prehistoric Life II: Triceratops 2024, 1 oz Silver Coin

Prehistoric Life II is a continuation of a very well-received series of silver values.

The first valentine in the new series presents us with a silhouette of a triceratops. This is a species of dinosaur that lived about 68-66 million years ago, during the Late Cretaceous period. It was a herbivorous dinosaur from the ceratops group, characterized by three large horns on its head and a distinctive bony orifice that was an extension of its head. Triceratops was one of the largest herbivorous dinosaurs and is one of the most recognizable of them.

The reverse of the silver investment coin shows us the likeness of the triceratops, we see its massive head with three large pointed horns. Immediately behind it is the date of the coin's issue as well as the name of the animal and the range of years it lived on earth. The obverse remained unchanged for the series, depicting the Congolese coat of arms, along with the coin's weight and denomination.
