Indian Wildlife: Snow Leopard 2024, 1 oz Silver Coin

The latest silver value in the series featuring a silhouette of the Snow Irbis.

zł485.00

The series is issued in a small run of 7,500 pieces.

The snow irbis, also known as the snow leopard, is a species of large cat found in mountainous areas of Central and South Asia, including the Himalayas, Siberia and the Russian Far East. The Irbis is known for its beautiful, dense fur, which helps it to camouflage itself perfectly in snowy environments, and for its elusive nature, which makes it difficult to study in the wild. Unfortunately, snow leopards are classified as an endangered species mainly due to habitat loss and poaching. Efforts are underway to protect these magnificent animals along with their habitat.

The reverse of this silver investment coin shows us a silhouette of a snow leopard irbis creeping through a snowdrift. We can see on its fur the characteristic spots for which this animal is famous. The circle contains information on the weight and silver content of the coin. The obverse of this edition has been changed and presents the current ruler of the Kingdom of Great Britain, King Charles III, along with the year of issue and the denomination.
