We are pleased to present the 1/10 ounce Australian Koala, made of 0.995 platinum.
The Australian Koala from Perth Mint is one of those series that needs no introduction to any fan of coin collecting. The currency with the image of the Australian bear is extremely popular all over the world - until now it was only available in the form of silver coins of 1 ounce and 1 kilogram. The 1/10 ounce gold and platinum coins join the collection, and we hope they will stay with us for a long time.
The first platinum koala has a mintage limited to 15,000 copies and was minted in 0.995 grade platinum, and comes in a factory-fitted, perfect-fit cap from Perth Mint. The image of the coin remains unchanged from the previously issued silver coin - it depicts a tree-climbing koala with a youngster clinging to its back. The currency is the official legal tender of Australia and carries a denomination of AUD 15.
