The series, which has been immensely popular around the world, has finally lived to see a 1/10 ounce issue that will be available in both gold and platinum. The 2023 Australian Koala 1/10 ounce gold investment coin has a limited mintage of 25,000 copies. The main character of the series is the friendly Australian bear, which is one of Australia's endemic species.
The design of the coin does not differ from the previously issued silver version of the coin. On the reverse we find a koala sitting on the branch of a eucalyptus tree. It is a mother with a cub attached to her back. The obverse depicts an image of Elizabeth II, above which is placed the period of her ascension to the British throne - 1952 - 2022. Below was the denomination of the currency, which is AUD 15.
