Silver circulation coins combine bullion value with numismatic history.

The 5 Deutsche Mark coin minted between 1934 and 1939 was part of the Third Reich's monetary system. It was made of silver (90%), had a diameter of 29 mm and weighed 13.88 g. It came in two main versions with the image of Paul von Hindenburg. The first, introduced in 1935, depicted a bust of Hindenburg on the reverse and an eagle with a swastika on the obverse. The second version, issued in 1934 on the occasion of "German Day" (Tag der Deutschen Kunst), had on the reverse the Garrison Church in Potsdam, where the symbolic ceremony of the transfer of power to Hitler took place in 1933.

Both versions were minted in silver and are now valuable pieces for collectors of numismatics from the Third Reich period.

The presented coin is a circulation coin and may have scratches, scuffs and dings. The photo is illustrative - the shipped coin may differ in its state of preservation. The coin is shipped randomly - it is not possible to indicate a specific variant and vintage.
