Adam Smith was a Scottish philosopher and economist who lived in the 18th century. He is considered one of the most important thinkers of the Enlightenment era. His most famous work is "The Wealth of Nations" "The Wealth of Nations", published in 1776. In this book, Smith presented his theory of a free market economy, in which governments should limit their interference in the economy and the principle of free trade should guide the economy. Smith believed that the free market and competition were the best ways to achieve national prosperity. His ideas influenced the development of classical liberalism and became the basis of today's free market economics.
The obverse of the copper coin features the likeness of the eponymous figure of Adam Smith, surrounded by a circle of five-pointed stars. The reverse depicts the depicted idea of free trade. There is a symbolic handshake against the background of a balance, on the scales of which money and a loaf of bread are balanced. In the background is a tank building. The name of the idea, Free Enterprise , is placed at the top . The bottom shows the scale and the sample of copper from which the currency was made.
