Kintsugi is an ancient Japanese technique for restoring ceramics, which involves joining broken fragments using a special lacquer enriched with gold, silver, or platinum. Instead of masking damage, this method deliberately exposes it, giving objects a new, unique character. Cracks become part of the history of the vessel and a testimony to its past experiences. The art of kintsugi derives from the wabi-sabi philosophy, which celebrates imperfection, naturalness, and transience. It symbolically refers to human life, showing that difficult experiences can strengthen us and make us more beautiful. Vessels repaired in this way become an expression of acceptance, perseverance, and rebirth.

The reverse of the silver coin features an image of the famous Queen Nefertiti, whose face captivates with its precision of detail and majesty. The coin is decorated with symbolic cracks filled with gold, referring to the Japanese art of Kintsugi, making it look as if it has undergone a process of repair, gaining a new, unique artistic value. This technique emphasizes both the beauty of the queen herself and the history that every object can carry with it. A similar decorative motif is used on the obverse, creating a visually coherent effect. In addition, there is key information – the name of the issuing country, the year of issue, and the denomination – which gives the coin its official character and collector's value. The entire composition combines craftsmanship, the historical significance of the figure, and a subtle metaphor for rebirth through art.
