2017 Australian Kookaburra Silver Coin (WMF), 1 ounce

We are pleased to present another version of the 2017 Kookaburra special edition, issued to commemorate the World Money Fair.

This silver coin was issued to commemorate the 2017 World Money Fair in Berlin. The World Money Fair is an international numismatic fair held annually in Berlin, Germany. This fair is one of the most important events for numismatists, collectors of coins and banknotes, as well as representatives of the numismatic industry. During the fair, new numismatic releases, unique coins, banknotes, and other numismatic products are showcased. The event also features conferences, discussions, presentations, and various accompanying activities.

On the reverse of the coin, we see a colorized version of the design from the classic bullion coin, depicting two kookaburras perched on a wooden fence. The name of the series is placed at the very top, while the year of issue and the coin’s silver content are listed at the bottom. The obverse of the coin remains unchanged from previous issues in the series—it features Queen Elizabeth II in right-side profile. The coin is delivered in the manufacturer’s dedicated, decorative packaging.
