The US Mint of Scottsdale is responsible for the production of the Pacific Mermaid coin. The currency is produced as legal tender of the island nation of Samoa. Accordingly, its obverse features the country's national coat of arms and the denomination. The coin's reverse is dedicated to mythical mermaids - it depicts a lonely sailor who met a beautiful mermaid on his way.
