The holiday of the dead is getting closer and closer, and while for most of us it is a time of remembrance and reverie, we must remember that in other parts of the world this time is associated somewhat differently. Popularly known as Halloween, it's a time for dressing up in costumes, decorating homes with pumpkins with faces cut out, and various customs such as "candy or trick-or-treating." People hold parties and children go door to door asking for candy. Halloween is often associated with themes of ghosts, monsters and other supernatural characters, making it a time of fun and fear.

The silver investment coin shown here is decorated with Halloween themes. Its reverse is an image of a witch wearing a typical, somewhat worn-out hat. On the reverse is a crystal ball entwined with the witch's hands. The coin is colored on both sides, and selected elements have an additional layer that glows green in the dark under UV light. The coin's mintage has been limited to 300 copies.
