The series of silver values was dedicated to wombats, one of Australia's friendliest animals. Wombats are stocky little marsupials they are herbivores, feeding mainly on grasses, bark and roots. They have a unique digestive system that allows them to efficiently absorb nutrients from tough plants. They dig extensive burrow systems in which they protect themselves when they feel threatened. They are known for their gentle disposition and can be quickly tamed.

The reverse of the silver coin depicts a wombat sleeping among the grasses. On its back we see a small bird perched to rest. Both the bird and the wombat have been colored with colored varnish. At the bottom is the date of issue along with the weight and sample of silver the coin was made from. The obverse shows the profile of Queen Elizabeth II. The very top shows the date range 1952-2022, during which the monarch reigned. The coin is sold in a dedicated blister pack, which also serves as a manufacturer's certificate highlighting the originality of the product.
