The Bar Coin is a continuation of the Rectangular Dragon series inspired by mythical dragons. Dragons are creatures of fearsome appearance that appear in many ancient cultures. With varying descriptions and characteristics depending on the culture, they remain some of the most iconic and mysterious creatures in mythology and folklore. Dragons in both Eastern and Western traditions are very often depicted as guardians of gold and other treasures. These legendary creatures continue to inspire creators of literature and pop culture - books, movies and computer games often use the image of the dragon, adding an element of mystery and adventure to the plots.

The reverse of the presented ingot coin is decorated with an image of a dragon writhing upward in the skies among the clouds. The background surrounding the mythical creature is filled with motifs associated with the elements of fire and water. The left side features the Perth Mint mark celebrating the 125th anniversary of the mint, while the lower right corner reads the date of issue. The obverse depicts a portrait of King Charles III of Great Britain, next to which we can read the face value, weight and silver proof.
