Silver Numismatic Coin The Divine Weapons – Winged Staff, 2,5 ounces

Sterling silver numismatic coin referring to the staff of Hermes

zł899.00

The silver staff is another numismatic piece in The Divine Weapons series .

The staff of Hermes, known as the Caduceus, had great symbolic significance in Greek mythology. It primarily represented peace, concord and reconciliation, as Hermes used it to separate warring parties and ease conflicts. It was also a sign of trade, travel and exchange, as Hermes acted as the patron of merchants, wanderers and messenger of the gods. Over time, the caduceus began to take on new meanings, also becoming a symbol of knowledge, wisdom and communication, i.e. values that are extremely important in social and cultural life. In modern art, this motif appears very often, but is often mistakenly identified with the staff of Asklepios, which is associated with medicine and the art of healing.

The caduceus is depicted as a silver, richly decorated scepter, around which two snakes wrap symmetrically. Their intertwined bodies form a harmonious whole, emphasizing the idea of balance and harmony. On top of the staff are delicate wings, symbolizing the speed, lightness and mobility of Hermes, the fastest of the gods of Olympus. The overall design is extremely elegant, full of detail and intricate workmanship, making it a recognizable and indispensable attribute of Hermes, as well as one of the most distinctive symbols of ancient mythology. The valor is delivered in an elegant parade box with an accompanying manufacturer's certificate.
