It symbolizes the beginning of his career and the good fortune that allowed him to gain wealth. The character of McDuck combines several qualities: incredible greed, entrepreneurship, frugality and steadfast determination. Although he is sometimes portrayed as a scrooge, he sometimes shows a more human side - able to risk his own life for family, friends or for an idea. His adventures, described in hundreds of comic books and cartoons, often take readers and viewers to exotic corners of the world, where Scrooge searches for new treasures. Thanks to his distinctive personality, Scrooge McDuck has become one of Disney's most recognizable duck characters, alongside Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse. He is a hero who teaches that hard work, perseverance and cleverness can lead to success - although at the same time he warns against excessive attachment to wealth.

The reverse of the coin features a dynamic and humorous scene that immediately brings to mind the iconic adventures of the duck billionaire. It depicts Scrooge McDuck gleefully jumping headfirst into the huge mountain of gold coins filling his legendary treasury. The motif perfectly captures the character's love of wealth, energy and unique lifestyle marked by constant accumulation of treasures. The obverse of the coin also impresses with its careful and elegant workmanship. At its center is placed the official emblem of the state of Niue, which acts as the issuer. Around it are the necessary issuing information - the year of minting and the denomination of the coin, given in accordance with the regulations of this exotic island territory.
