The collection is a continuation of the very popular Prehistoric Life bullion coin series focusing on prehistoric life full of awe-inspiring creatures. The second coin in the new series features Sukhomimus, a theropod dinosaur that lived some 125 million years ago during the Early Cretaceous period. This carnivore, which inhabited areas of present-day Africa, is known primarily for its unique appearance, somewhat resembling that of Spinosaurus - the famous dinosaur giant. Its distinctive feature was a long, slender skull with an elongated snout full of sharp teeth.

The reverse of the silver coin presents two Sukhomimus dinosaurs in the midst of their natural habitat. In the foreground we will see one of them swallowing a fish whole thanks to its huge mouth. On the reverse we will find the date of issue and information on the period of Suchomimus' occurrence. The obverse of the coin is decorated with the national coat of arms of the Congolese state, for which the coin is the official means of payment.
