A silver coin with the image of one of the birds most associated with Australian fauna - the kookaburra. The kookaburra is a type of large bird in the kingfisher family, found mainly in Australia and Tasmania. The bird also has an important place in Australia's Aboriginal culture. In many Aboriginal myths and stories, the kookaburra is often depicted as a figure with powerful magical powers and supernatural abilities.
On the reverse, we are shown a kookaburra sitting on a bough with its wings spread wide.
