By now we are slowly getting used to the fact that the image of Queen Elizabeth II is disappearing from the obverses of coins issued by mints under the sovereignty of the United Kingdom. It is gradually being replaced by a portrait of King Charles, and the presented platinum bullion coin is a perfect example of this. The 3.11 gram coin was produced from 0.995 proof platinum.
The Britannia reverse does not need to be introduced to people who are at least a little interested in investing in precious metals in physical form. The design has undergone minor modifications over the years, but the leitmotif remains the same - a woman personifying Britannia.
