"Legends of Battlefield: Richard the Lionheart" 2026 Silver Coin, 2 ounces

A silver coin featuring the image of Richard the Lionheart was issued in a limited edition of 500 pieces. 

Richard I the Lionheart was King of England from 1189 to 1199 and one of the most famous rulers of medieval Europe. He earned the nickname “the Lionheart” for his courage, bravery, and leadership skills, which brought him fame even during his lifetime. He spent most of his reign outside of England, primarily participating in the Third Crusade, during which he fought to recapture Jerusalem from Saladin. Although he failed to capture the city, his military victories and negotiations led to the conclusion of a favorable truce with the sultan. Richard was also known as an outstanding knight and patron of the arts, and his figure has become a permanent part of medieval legends and literature. He died in 1199 during the siege of Châlus Castle in France, and to this day his figure symbolizes the ideal of a valiant and courageous medieval monarch.

The coin was struck from 2 ounces of .999-fine silver and given an antique finish, which lends it a historic, rugged character. The high relief depicts the figure of the crusader king with exceptional attention to detail, emphasizing his warrior-like stature and majesty.
