Silver coin Big Five III: Lion 2025, 1 oz.
Lion is the hero of the second installment of the Big Five III series
Big Five III - is a new edition of South African coins very popular among collectors.
Africa's Big Five are a group of five of the savannah's most famous and revered animals: the lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard. Among them, the lion stands out as the only large carnivore, considered the "king of animals" due to its strength and dominance in the ecosystem. Lions live in herds, with males defending territory and females hunting prey such as zebras and antelopes. They are characterized by their powerful physique, golden coat and impressive mane in males, which is a symbol of their maturity and status. Unfortunately, the lion population is declining due to poaching and loss of natural habitat, making their conservation an extremely important challenge.
The reverse of this silver coin is decorated with a silhouette of a menacing roaring lion raising its left paw. At the bottom we can read the name of the issuer's country, the series and the year of issue. Centrally at the very bottom we can see the emblem of the Republic of South Africa. On the obverse, the coin's denomination, its weight and silver sample are placed in a central circle. It separates the two halves of the lion's head. When the two coins are placed side by side, one will see the image merging together. The coin is packaged in a dedicated themed blister from the manufacturer, which is also a certificate.
