"The Matrix" is a 1999 American science fiction film directed by the Wachowski brothers siblings. On the reverse of the silver coin, we see the film's three main characters, Trinity, Neo and Morpheus standing in leather coats against a background covered with distinctive characters symbolizing computer code. At the bottom is the inscription MATRIX, which has been additionally covered with UV paint. The obverse features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain in the center. The background is covered similarly to the obverse with characters of the computer code sequence, the Matrix of the title. The very top shows the date of issue, the weight of the coin and also its denomination.
