The 0.995 platinum coin from The Royal Mint is a unique offering for investors and collectors.
The platinum coin series was issued to commemorate the 65th anniversary of Elizabeth II's coronation as monarch of the United Kingdom. The motif depicted on this year's coinage is the heraldic black bull Clarence, the symbol of the House of York. The Tudors Beasts series was created to commemorate the aforementioned coronation jubilee, which took place at Westminster Abbey. The creatures featured on the coins reflect the dowries housed in that abbey.
On the reverse of this platinum value we see a Welsh dragon supporting a heraldic shield. Around the beast, the rim bears the inscription TUDOR DRAGON, as well as information about the bullion the coin is made of, its weight and purity test. At the very bottom we see the year of issue of the coin. The obverse presents us with the left profile of the current King of Great Britain, Charles III, along with the denomination of 100 British pounds.
