The title Baptism of Fire is the third of five parts of The Witcher saga by Andrzej Sapkowski. In Baptism of Fire, Geralt sets out with his team in search of Ciri, the adopted daughter of the Queen of Cintra, whom he wants to find before her enemies. During the journey, he meets many characters, including those familiar from previous volumes, such as Yennefer and Buttercup. Meanwhile, war breaks out and the witcher is drawn into the conflict between Nilfgard and the North.

The reverse of the silver coin depicts the title Baptism of Fire. During his journey, Gerald and his company encounter a hermit who incites the local peasantry to lynch a handicapped girl. The reason was supposed to be an accusation of witchcraft. The hermit challenges them to a trial by fire involving pulling out a glowing horseshoe. This is done by Regis, a vampire who is a companion of the witcher. In the foreground we see the archer Milva measuring with a bow. In the further background Regis is shown taking out the heated horseshoe. In the background we can see Geralt bringing out a sword. The obverse presents in the foreground on the right two wielding swords, while on the left is placed the coat of arms of the state of Nie, which is the issuer of the coin.
