Britannia - one-ounce coin

The reverse of the coin shows the image of a woman - this is the personification of Britannia. Armed with a trident and a shield, the figure assumed a majestic and proud pose. The background is reminiscent of sea waves and is a visual change from coins of previous vintages. Also new is an additional three-dimensional security feature in the form of a padlock and trident located on the left side at the bottom of the coin. Britannia is official legal tender - the 1 ounce coin has a denomination of 100 British pounds.

The 1 ounce Britannia is a gold coin that has been equipped with new, innovative security features. They allow quick detection of possible counterfeiting. The Britannia produced from 1 ounce gold has, among other things, an engraved security feature using an angular effect - when the coin is tilted, the circular locked padlock turns into a trident. The technique of plastering was also used. It relies on indicating heraldic colors using lines, which allows to quickly pick up differences in color. On the other hand, the radiant background seen on the Britannia coin made of 1 ounce gold was made using the picosecond laser method. This gives a unique ripple effect that cannot be faked using cheaper production methods.
