Goldback is a unique form that combines physical gold with money in the form of a banknote.

Goldback Wyoming is one of four Goldback projects that aim to establish a standard for gold-based commercial exchange. The banknotes are produced by Goldback, Inc. and are offered in various denominations, each corresponding to a specific weight and purity of gold. Goldback Wyoming banknotes were created as a form of alternative currency that can be used as a medium of exchange in some local communities in the state of Wyoming and other parts of the United States.

This time, the gold banknote depicted Fideletas, or the virtue of Loyalty, was shown as an experienced, good Wyoming rancher waiting for her groom to show up at their wedding. The backdrop for the scene is the Grand Teton Mountains and the small wooden chapel of the Transfiguration, now located in a national park there. Accompanying her is a faithful shepherd dog, which lies at her feet next to a loaf of bread, a bottle of wine and a small bowl of salt scattered on the ground. These three items are deeply rooted in Wyoming's Christian culture.
