It was produced by Banco de Mexico from 1917 to 1959.

The presented gold circulation coins are an interesting alternative to the most popular modern investment coins, such as the Krugerrand, the Vienna Philharmonics, or the Australian Kangaroo. The presented coin with a denomination of 20 pesos was produced from 0.900 gold. The coin weighs 16.66g, but contains 15g of pure gold.

The coin's reverse depicts one of the designs more associated with Mexico - the Aztec solar calendar, below which is the denomination - 20 PESO and information on the content of pure gold - 15 grams. On the reverse you will find an image of an eagle holding a snake in its beak - a symbol known from the Mexican coat of arms.
