TheLunar series, inspired by the Chinese traditional calendar, has been very popular with investors and collectors for years.

The year of the buffalo in the Chinese calendar is one of twelve animals that occur in a cycle called the animals of the zodiac. Each animal is assigned to one of five elements: wood, fire, earth, metal and water. The Chinese calendar is lunar, which means that the new year begins on the new moon, usually between January 21 and February 20. The buffalo (or bull) is the second animal in the Chinese zodiac. The last year of the buffalo was in 2021, and the next year will begin in 2033.

The reverse of this gold investment coin depicts the image of a proudly standing buffalo. The Chinese symbol for the year of the buffalo was placed next to the animal, and the inscription Ox 2021 below it. The obverse is a likeness of Queen Elizabeth II shown in right profile. Around it were placed technical data - the weight of the coin: 1/10 ounce, gold test: 9999 and the denomination: 15 Australian dollars. The coin is delivered in the manufacturer's factory protective cap.
